“Naandi” in sanskrit: a new beginning
India is one of the countries with the highest concentration of people without access to safe drinking water in rural areas: they either have to walk several kilometers to reach it, or the available water is contaminated. Naandi’s obsession is to invert this reality. For women and kids, providing access to affordable safe drinking water means avoiding hours of water collection every day, to finally dedicate time to income-generating activities or going to school. This also means significantly reducing repeated, sometimes deadly, diseases. This change happens thanks the installation of micro filtration plants, built and run by Naandi. With this, a virtuous cycle can begin.
